AR Rahman Won Golden Globe Awards for Slumdog Millionaire Music

Musical Maestro AR Rahman became the first Indian to win the “Golden Globe Awards” for the best musical score for Slumdog Millionaire movie, directed by British director Danny Boyle. Earlier AR Rehman had won the 14th Annual Critics Choice award and the Satellite Award for the same movie. After winning the prestigious award, AR Rahman thanked it to the "billion people of India” and thanked Danny Boyle and his fellow musicians.



Slumdog Millionaire is a Bollywood movie which tells the story of an underdog from the slums of Mumbai. Slumdog Millionaire bagged four awards at the ceremony held at Los Angeles. Danny Boyle won for the Best Director, Simon Beaufoy for the Best Screenplay and the film also won the Best Drama award.
